Gazzoleen is a Belgian nu-metal band from the Hasselt area, blending heavy riffs, electronics, and melodic yet aggressive vocals.
With the original lineup back in place — Maarten Albrechts (vocals), Gert Dejonge (guitar), Günther Liket (drums), Serge Hauglustaine (bass), and Mathie Neven (electronics) — the band is fully focused on new material and getting back on stage.
Originally emerging in the late ’90s and early 2000s as Belgium’s answer to the US nu-metal wave, Gazzoleen made their mark with the album Tinybears (2001, Seamview Records), which gained airplay on TMF, Jim TV, Studio Brussel, and Radio 21.
They built a strong live reputation, playing venues like 013, Melkweg, and Botanique, alongside festivals such as Pukkelpop and Jera On Air, and sharing stages with bands like Disturbed. Check their upcoming and past gigs here.
After years apart, the band has reunited with a clear focus: new music, new shows, and picking up where they left off — only heavier.
